kittycat

conversation I've never had,
once had a dream I had a lengthy discussion with my cat about icebergs,
obviously, it never happened.

Art nouveau

Looking for inspiration for my two creatures I was intrigued by the art nouveau style, I love the swirls and floral aspect, something I'd like to include in my pieces.

I thought this mermaid fitted my naga lady rather well, I love how her hair has been done!

ipotane!

My initial draft for the ipotane poster thingy, looks pretty cool I think :)

Nāga -

The naga are a reptilian being from another realm, they are an intelligent race, have the power to disguise themselves as human aswell as controlling the water. In the hindu religion nagas are worshipped as bringers of rain.
In the Khmer legend, a Naga king sent his daughter up to the human world so she was able to find enlightenment, she disguised herself as a human and fell inlove with a prince.

Ipotane -

In Greek mythology, Ipotanes were a race of half-horse, half-humans, unlike the satyrs, who were half-goat.

The typical Ipotane looked overall human, but had the legs, hindquarters, tail, and ears of a horse. However, some had humanlike rather than horselike legs (compare with early Centaurs, whose front legs were often humanlike). They're apparently incredibly fast runners, sue to their horse legs.

Others say the ipotane is like a Satyr, a standing man with the bottom half as a horse, unlike centaurs who have the head and chest of a man on a horse's body.
